Your Hospital Bag Checklist: What to Pack for Labor and Delivery

Week 36! You’ve made it to the final few weeks of this pregnancy. Way.To.Go. Your baby will be here soon! 🎉 Now is the time to make sure you have that hospital bag pack. Packing your hospital bag now can help you feel calm and ready in case the baby comes early. Let’s keep it simple. You don’t need everything—just the basics to keep you comfortable.

Here’s your easy checklist:

👜 For You (Comfort + Recovery)
☐ Loose, comfy clothes (pajamas or nightgown – dark-colors or items you don’t mind getting messy.)
☐ Going-home outfit (soft, stretchy, and loose!)
☐ Underwear (high-waisted or pairs you don’t mind getting messy)
☐ Nursing bra or comfortable bra (if you plan to breastfeed)
☐ Cozy socks or slippers
☐ Slip-on shoes
☐ Flip flops or shower shoes if you prefer

🧼 Toiletries (to feel like yourself!)
☐ Toothbrush + toothpaste
☐ Face wash and your skin care routine items
☐ Deodorant
☐ Lip balm (your lips may get dry!)
☐ Hairbrush + hair ties
☐ Shampoo and conditioner if you prefer your own or dry shampoo (optional, but helpful!).

👶 For Baby (Keep it simple!)
☐ 1–2 outfits (newborn + 0–3 months, just in case)
☐ Going-home outfit 💛

☐ If you plan to pump, bring a bumping bra to hold flange pieces in place.
